General Shipping FAQ's
Shipping for retail orders is offered through Canada Post Expedited Parcel and includes mandatory shipping insurance and tracking #. Some orders will also be shipped via UPS - other private shipping carriers are also available upon request and all shipping rates will vary by weight, delivery service and destination.
International Shipping FAQ's
For International Orders please contact us for a custom quote. Please make sure to include:
1. your Country;
2. the item(s) you would like to order;
3. The quantity of each item.
With this information we will be able to provide you with a custom shipping quote (if available to your Country). If you wish to go ahead and place your order, a Paypal invoice will be created and sent to you for payment.
Please note: Chickaboom is not responsible for any taxes, duties, brokerage or customs charges that your country may charge at point of import. Please also note that International Orders mean that parcels must travel over long distances. While Chickaboom.ca takes great care to package all parcels in damage-proof shipping materials, some damage may occur with "fragile" items, especially over long distances. Please be mindful of this fact before you place your International Order.
Shipping Time FAQ's
Please note: U.S.A and International shipping has a standard shipping time of 8-12 business days and your order may be delayed further if your parcel must go through your country's Customs Agency.
Customs & Duties FAQ's
Please note that all non-Canadian orders (including those to the U.S.A) may be delayed by your country's Customs Inspection at point of entry. Chickaboom.ca and Canada Post are not responsible for any loss or delay of shipping time caused by parcels being held by your country's Customs Agency. Please check your Country's import rules and regulations for more information including import limits for value of goods imported and prohibited items as this will differ from country to country.
Shipping Service Standard FAQ's
Canada Post and Chickaboom does not provide shipping services on Saturdays or Sundays or on major Statutory Holidays in Canada. When your order is shipped, you will be provided with a tracking # if your shipping method includes this service. You will be able to track your shipment through Canada Post. Chickaboom does not have access to any additional tracking information than what is posted on Canada Post's website. Once your order has left Canada, your country's National Shipping agency (i.e. USPS in the United States, etc.) will be responsible for delivering your shipment.
Order Processing FAQ's
Orders are processed within 3-5 business days of placement and payment. Our Shipping Department is not open on Saturdays or Sundays.
For orders shipped via Canada Post Air Parcel please allow at least 8-15 business days for orders to arrive. All items that are "fragile" in nature include mandatory shipping insurance.
Wrong Address, Refused or "Undeliverable" Parcels
Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses, Refused Parcels & Re-directs: In the event that the shipping address provided by the customer is incomplete/incorrect, the recipient has refused the parcel or the recipient has relocated, the parcel may be deemed by our service carrier (Canada Post or USPS) as "Undeliverable". In cases of Undeliverable parcels that: a) had the wrong postal address provided by the customer; b) had an incomplete address provided by the customer; or c) was refused by the customer, the parcel will be shipped back to Chickaboom.ca. This re-direct will be at Chickaboom's expense, and USPS or Canada Post will charge for this service. As such, in order to have any re-directed parcel re-shipped to the Buyer, the original shipping cost, return shipping and new shipping fees must be paid by the customer. For parcels that are not re-shipped again to the Buyer, the Buyer is responsible for paying the original shipping charges plus the re-direct shipping charges which Chickaboom.ca must pay to receive back the refused/undeliverable parcel. Please ensure you have a proper shipping address before ordering.
Chickaboom.ca will not be responsible for undeliverable packages due to an Incorrect Address or Refused parcel.
Returns
All sales are final. If any product is damaged or defective upon arrival, you must inform us within 3 days of arrival.
For hygenic reasons, all cosmetics products are final sale. We do not accept returns based on wrong colour choice or other preferences.
On a case by case basis we may accept returns or exchanges. All such returns must first be authorized by Chickaboom so that we may properly track and keep record of your order. All return shipping charges will be paid for by the buyer unless special consideration prior to ship-back is made. Shipping charges are not refundable. Please note that we do not take returns based on wrong sizing, wrong colour or other preferences.
Damages
While Chickaboom works diligently to make sure all fragile items are packaged with care using appropriate wrapping and damage-safe shipping materials, we are naturally unable to supervise the manner in which each parcel is handled by each delivery person on its way to you. This unfortunately means that from time to time, some products may become damaged in transit during shipping. As such, all products that are deemed "Fragile" are shipped using mandatory shipping insurance and tracking. If you receive a damaged item, please contact us within 3 business days of receiving your parcel+. Also, please ensure to hold onto both the damaged items as well as the parcel packaging. Canada Post often requests that these be shipped to them for inspection in order to verify the damage claim therefore it is important that you not discard these items.
Chickaboom.ca will do everything we can to expedite this process and ensure that your shopping experience with Chickaboom.ca is a fabulous one !
+To submit and expedite your damage claim the following details must be provided:
1. tracking number; 2. Chickaboom.ca order number; 3. full name, address and telephone number which will be given to Canada Post to contact you about the damage; 4. Photos of damaged items are mandatory and will be required to make a claim; 5. Possession of the damaged item, box and shipping supplies used to send your order. Canada Post may require you to ship the damaged item back to them for inspection. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

*Important note to U.S. Customers: Please make sure to track your package online. USPS sometimes does not provide physical notification that parcels have arrived and are awaiting pick-up at the recipient's local Postal Office. Your online tracking will indicate this. Packages that go unclaimed after 30 days are shipped back to Chickaboom.ca by USPS at Chickaboom's expense. Orders that go unclaimed and are sent back to Chickaboom.ca because they were not tracked/picked-up will not be re-shipped. Re-shipping of orders will only be available if shipping charges (return and outbound $30) are remitted.
